  • Certified HE in Counselling and Interpersonal Ma 2010

My Coaching and Work Experience

I have worked in counselling for over 20 years, working at a volunteer for Child Line, Samaritans, and still today with Victim Support, and ran by own business as a debt counsellor. Today I run my own successful business, working with people on a one to one basis and with groups in small businesses, public speaking, and training and consultancy. I am also Area leader for a large networking group - helping people grow their own business.

As a single Mum to three boys I know how hard life can be, and the everyday balance between life and work. My initial background was IT from data processing, to engineer, support desk manager, business systems analyst and trainer.

I have a clear love of people and a desire to ensure everyone has every opportunity to reach their maximum potential, stepping outside their comfort zone, and growing and moving forward to their desired life and dream.

Trish is an exceptional Life Coach, I have watched her in action many times with fascination and admiration. Demonstrating a natural ability to gain rapport and to gauge what is best for the situation, Trish is an expert at taking people just that bit further than they thought possible and helping them to find their way. Trish makes elegant use of her Life Coaching skills...

Trish came along to one of my workshops, and she's a fast and intuitive learner. She picked up all the concepts very quickly, and made good use of her newly found skills!

As an NLP practitioner, she has been running hypnosis on a friend of mine, who is addicted to fast foods, burgers and kebabs - her challenge is to stop him eating rubbish! So far the results are great...

I did find the subjects of Anchor Points, NLP very interesting and hope to pursue these subjects. I was intrigued with the sensory Acuity (if I’ve got it right!) and how each person senses things in different ways. Myself being more kinesthetic and how I will need to be aware of others sensory acuity to help me in not only my job but also socially too. I will not forget the Life coaching session on the first day- I originally found that very difficult but have found the session important and no longer difficult but I think the word I should have used was challenging. I like challenges… I will also be researching Eye access calibration! I would also like to find out why I could not get to relax like the others during the hypnotherapy session!

“It made me realize that people CAN be interested in what I have to say, and that when someone asks me a question, they are not “putting me on the spot”. I have to stop trying to give the answers I think others want to hear, hoping that will make them like me. I have to stop thinking I know what others think about me, and start believing in myself. This week I have had a short, but “normal” conversation with the Deputy Chief Exec. I smiled and was positive instead of putting my head down and mumbling “ok thanks”. I also had a proper conversation with the Chief Exec today – he caught me on the stairs after a meeting and asked what it had been about..normally I would have said..”oh, it was just….” and got away as quickly as possible. I managed to tell him exactly what it was about without waffling and blushing. Best bit was, I didn’t think about it afterwards, wishing I had said something different or better. That is a massive result for me. Thankyou

Trish joined us following a relocation having previously worked as a Service Delivery Manager and her experience showed. As well as excellent IT delivery skills, she has excellent customer service skills, is proactive and not self-limiting (in a positive way) and was a great member of the team creating an upbeat team vibe.

  • from P. Keighley on 20 Feb 2014

The whole workshop impressed me. It was well-structured, interesting, up-beat and I never felt bored or wished things would “move on”. In particular, though, I loved the Anchor Points and the Memory Box parts, mainly because I felt that I could, and would, use those techniques in the future.”

Had a truly awesome day today... started off with a life changing confidence session with Trish Swinscoe... followed by lots of very exciting ideas brewing at the office with Tudno Telly... my favourite kind of web design projects to work on.... finished with a tasty BBQ with the family at home. Thanks to you and all of the amazing techniques you have taught me. Thank you so much xxx

Trish delivered an excellent presentation at a Bizmums event in Wrexham on the subject of time management. The talk was interactive and engaging. The attendees came away with a plan they could then go on to use which is great. I would highly reccommend Trish as a speaker

  • from Serge on 17 Dec 2013

    I really appreciate Trish.

It's difficult to put a value on the kind of service Trish provides. She doesn't just work on my business strategy, she works on the limiting beliefs inside me that hinder my business growth.

She doesn't just work on my targets and goal setting/getting, she works on how to set the goals in the first place, and what stops me

  • from Maggie on 14 Aug 2013
