Before I had a life coach, I felt quite directionless with singing. When I did think about what direction I wanted to go in, I felt powerless and fearful, so I didn't really take the first steps on any tasks. When Samantha began coaching me, I was very honest about my fear and lack of motivation. She helped me see that I could change my thoughts about my approach to singing and my insecurity around other people in the music world. After that, I decided that if I was going to begin working hard on this, I needed to have the skill of stopping to rest. Our session on fun and recreation was quite practical and gave me insight into my own hindering attitudes about it. The assignments she gave me really helped motivate me to continue this discipline in the future as it was so rewarding. I also saw how the beliefs I had about people in my home were dragging me down and affecting my capacity for recreation, and even though it was scary, I moved forward on ironing things out relationally with them. What a gift of peace that brought! Following the next session, I was able to face the intimidation of re-establishing dialogue with an old contact, and also to try to make some new contacts. That got the ball rolling, which was the first and hardest step. After that, I found myself taking the surprising and courageous step of thinking pro-actively about how I could make singing financially productive. Before this, even the thought of trying to put food on the table by doing what I enjoy seemed inconceivable. I began to feel it might be within reach to try to take certain practical steps that might make it possible to earn income with my gifts, and I have taken a few of those steps already. It feels very rewarding to make goals and to begin to see the fulfilment of them coming closer. I am realizing I am more competent than I thought I was, more capable of being motivated, and have just as much of a chance of making it and even getting an edge as anyone else.
I would definitely recommend coaching with Samantha. She seems to have a handle on the integral elements making up a broad range of disciplines, so I feel I can trust her coaching knowledge and apply it to my specific field. She will ask probing questions, and is eager to hear background information to help assist a client more specifically. Her questions help you to view your field through different eyes and focus on what is truly important. She is also quite encouraging and so I never felt criticised, but on the contrary, empowered to do what was before me.

Samantha was a pleasure to work with. She listened to me and provided wonderful recommendations to point me in the right direction to achieve my main goal and that was discovering what I really want to do in life! I would recommend her to anyone looking for some positive motivation and to be held accountable for reaching your truest potential.
