I have worked with John on several occasions over the past five years for personal coaching and I have also engaged John’s skill as an independent coach and mentor for key staff when they were at cross road decision times in their career.
John is a world-class coach who challenges and supports people to new heights and through tough career decision points and life choices. John is skilled and competent in working with a wide range of people in a variety of situations and his sessions provide a safe environment for people to confidently stretch themselves to go beyond their current levels of awareness and achievement.

When starting a new stretch role with HP, I was consistently required to make tough decisions. I signed up for the Coaching network and John Hardwick was aligned to me as coach. Over the course of 18 months, John worked with me not only for myself but also to train me as a coach too. I have benefitted from this immensely. It has enabled me to take a calm, more rounded view of situations, of how to approach different scenarios, and has also helped me to coach my teams into becoming more effective and more importantly, self-sufficient. I cannot understate the value of my time with John. Thank you.

John provided me with a series of one to one coaching sessions delivered both in person, and also on occasion by phone. John was able to clearly explain his role as a non-judgemental facilitator and lay out the expectations on me, if this process was to be effective.
During the sessions I found that John was an excellent listener and often suggested open thought provoking questions. His manner was pleasant and all the while he maintained thorough notes on what we discussed, which he subsequently shared with me. This was especially useful as most of my time was spent analysing myself and what I thought and felt.
All in all I found the interaction very effective and it helped me achieve the objective. I was needing and wanting to better balance my time between work and home life. In my view John was a big part in helping me get there.

In my capacity as Human Resources Vice President, EMEA for Hewlett Packard, I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work closely with John on several occasions in his capacity as a leading member of the HP internal coaching network.
John has made a critical difference in HP EMEA’s ability to develop a coaching capability for some 6000 people managers. Over a period of a year John delivered a series of virtual coaching lectures as part of the HP Move2Win© program, supporting managers to facilitate career development, performance and counseling to their teams during a time of significant change for the company.
In my personal interactions with John, I have always found him to be a highly passionate professional with a strong level of seniority and experience, allowing him to connect easily with all levels of management in the organization. I wish John all the best in his future career.

For my WW staff, we had John come in and deliver a coaching session, which was tremendously beneficial for us. We learned about the GROW model around goal setting, Peer-to-Peer coaching and how to handle stress in the best way. I and my staff were very impressed with John and his knowledge, techniques and ability to relate to different cultures and backgrounds. We walked away from the session with knowledge and tools to use to help us all be more effective in the high-pressure space of customer support. I would highly recommend John for any team that wants to make a bigger impact.

I have been working with John for the last two years on several Human Resources projects within the company. John has always been professional in his partnership. His open minded approach accelerated our projects and allowed our initial ideas to “fly”. John is very well regarded by the senior members of the EMEA HR Council.

I always seemed to be travelling through circles in my life, never knowing what I wanted to do, or what direction I should travel in. What John did was to bring clarity to my life, all the necessary information was all there, I just didn’t know how to bring it out. John did this for me! During the course of 2102, John Hardwick was a coach & mentor to me over a period of several months.
John is one of a number of HP UK staff who have undertaken a training to be able to conduct this role and is formally accredited by HP to provide coaching & mentoring to other HP employees.
John was professional and competent throughout the process.
His leadership throughout the coaching process was effective and enabled me to progress successfully in my career.

John is a complete professional who is able to use his expertise as a Coach to engage employees at the outset, which can be very difficult given some of the emotional situations that are presented to him. John is not only a very skilled coach but is a genuine person who really cares about the people involved. This very quickly build’s a person’s trust and confidence in the coach/employee relationship which has led to a very positive outcome for all engaged in the process.
